R.Evolución Latina’s mission continues to expand internationally. The city of La Paz, Baja California Sur in Mexico has truly gone beyond. Inspired by R.Evolución Latina’s Co-Founder/Director Gabriela Garcia, Matilde Navarrete, Director of Culture for the Municipality of La Paz, dared the dance community of La Paz to participate in it’s very first dance competition, “La Paz dances in New York” at the Teatro Juarez. Dancers participated in disciplines such as Folklore, Polynesian and Arab dance and various styles of Jazz. We are thrilled to announce that the first place winner has been awarded a scholarship to R.Evolución Latina’s Beyond Workshop Series in New York City in March of 2012. La Paz dances in New York’s winner is Jorge Ivanhoe Mendoza Garibay.
