Carla has been working with R.Evolución Latina since 2011. She loves being a part of the D2GB Children’s Performing Arts Camp every year because it gives so many kids the opportunity to express themselves and push beyond their perceived limits. She is passionate about increasing access to the arts for the youth in our communities and enjoys doing so through R.Evolución Latina. Carla earned her B.S in Family, Youth & Community Sciences as well as her M.Ed in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Florida. She has focused her career on building cultural connections, empowering youth, and building a sense of belonging among students at all educational levels. Carla believes in the power of art to be a bridge for communication, a tool for positive change, and catalyst for community building.
