R.Evolución Latina in collaboration with Pregones PRTT is excited to announce the Beyond Workshop Series 2024. BWS is an interdisciplinary training and outreach program that challenges artists to further develop their technical skills, self-confidence and critical leadership skills required to unite our community.

For the past 16 years, RL has provided one-of-a-kind performing arts training, utilizing dance, acting, and voice. BWS 2024’s training will develop and explore these disciplines through the lens of BODY MUSIC. Participants will expand their artistry by applying these tools and further developing their storytelling skills through varying classes and workshops.
This 2-week program will conclude with a showcase opportunity. Those accepted into the program will have the chance to be part of RL’s 2024 showcase production of BARBA, directed by Luis Salgado. BARBA is a contemporary musical and the true story of Brazilian body percussionist Fernando Barba written by Carlos Bauzys and Kim Bixler. Carlos Bauzys is a renowned Brazilian music director who serves as co-music director of Barba’s namesake body percussion group the Barbatuques.
Participation in the showcase production is not mandatory nor required to participate in BWS 2024.
FACULTY & TEAM
Our founder and artistic director Luis Salgado will be leading this program. Participants will also be working with additional professional artists from the Broadway, film & TV industries. Stay tuned for names in the upcoming weeks.
We invite you to be part of this unique process of artistic and human development. We seek artists that are dedicated to growing and giving back through their art. All disciplines, experience levels and ethnicities are encouraged to apply.
COMMITMENT
This program is created to further the growth of artists that are committed to give back. Those accepted into the program will receive a FULL scholarship. In return, participants must commit to support RL’s mission. After the program, performance and activist opportunities will be available for participants such as children’s camps, fundraising events, school visits, round table discussions, mission trips abroad, & more. The Estimated Program Value for this training is $3,500!
